Common questions

Is this the official Red Seal exam?

No. Apex is independent preparation weighted to the published exam breakdown. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Red Seal program. The exam itself is booked and written through your provincial apprenticeship authority.

I failed. Can this help me rewrite?

It can help you find and work on the areas that cost you marks. Rewrite rules, waiting periods and fees are set by your province.

How long do I have access?

Both options give 12 months of access from the purchase date.

What is the difference between the $99 and $700 options?

The $99 Exam Prep is practice exams only. The $700 level adds written lessons, audio and chapter quizzes across six review subjects, plus the same practice exams. The $99 option is not on sale yet.

Which provinces does it cover?

The Red Seal Welder exam is interprovincial, so the same exam breakdown applies across Canada. Booking the exam and eligibility rules go through your provincial or territorial apprenticeship authority.

Can I write the exam after using Apex?

Using Apex does not make you eligible. Whether you can write is decided by your provincial apprenticeship authority, based on registration and documented hours.
